The Main Entrance Hall...

The Bar Convent is a versatile and characterful setting for many types of events and we try to be flexible and imaginative in meeting the requests of our customers, whilst still respecting the spiritual and historic nature of this building as the home of the sisters of the Congregation of Jesus.

Lunches and Evening Events can be catered for in the Main Entrance Hall and Bedingfield Room, subject to minimum numbers, and wine and alcoholic beverages can be purchased under licence in the Hall, Cafe and Meeting Rooms.

We are also able to host Funeral Wakes and Life Celebrations. The stunning Victorian tiled Entrance Hall provides the perfect backdrop for family and friends to share memories and exchange condolences after the  passing of a loved one and our experienced and professional staff will provide you with a discreet, sympathetic service appropriate to the occasion.
