As the oldest living convent in England the Bar Convent offers unique surroundings and superb facilities for Daytime Meetings and Events or Evening Events in a magnificent Grade 1 listed Georgian building.
There are four meeting rooms available, each with their own individual character and all interconnecting, except the Boardroom.
- The Bedingfield Room - the largest of the rooms, formally the school refectory. This room runs parallel to the main Entrance Hall and is long and spacious
- The Aspinall & Gascoigne Rooms - more square with high ceilings and lots of natural light, these rooms were formerly a classroom and kitchen and make excellent training or meeting rooms, or breakout rooms
- The Boardroom - a truly traditional Georgian room with a fine oak table and chairs, seating up to 12 people in a more formal style

The main Entrance Hall may also be requested to host your lunch, if available and is also available to hire for special occasions such as birthdays, christenings, anniversaries, funeral celebrations, Christmas lunches, exhibitions and small concerts. DAILY DELEGATE RATE (DDR)
Includes: Room Hire, flipchart & screen, sandwich bar lunch, dessert & all day refreshments
£33.50 per person
(minimum of 12-17 delegates)
£31.00 per person
(18+ delegates)
VAT at 17.5% is included in the catering proportion of the DDR

ROOM HIRE RATES
Where the daily delegate rate is not applicable rates will be worked out according to room rate and
specific catering requirements charged as follows:
Full day room hire is from
0900-1700 hours
Half day room hire
0900-1300 or 1300-1700
Please note that bookings which fall into both time slots will be charged at full day rate.
Registered charities receive a 10% reduction on room hire rates. Please enquire at the time of booking if you are eligible. |
