Bar Convent Shop...
Just on the left of the Entrance Hall as you enter the Bar Convent is a small gift shop which opened in 1987 as part of the Bar Convent Museum.
The Bar Convent Shop is stocked with an interesting and varied seasonal array of gifts including toys, cards, jewellery and books. It also houses the Repository, which stocks a selection of rosaries and religious items suitable for special occasions, such as christenings, communion, anniversaries and bereavement.
The shop also stocks the full range of pamphlets and books produced by Sister Gregory Kirkus relating to the life of the foundress of the Congregation of Jesus and the IBVM, Mary Ward, and the story of the Bar Convent School derived from the archives and records still held at the convent. |
