Donations are vital, and we are indebted to those who support us in this way: every donation is important, and even a small amount given each month makes a big difference. If you want to support the Bar Convent Living Heritage Project, your donations will be hugely appreciated, and make a real contribution to fulfilment of this important project.
Thank you for your support.
Sister Frances Orchard, CJ
Individuals are playing a major role in supporting the Project: nearly 250 people have made donations to date, ranging from £5 to £20,000.
We hope that if The Bar Convent is important to you, for whatever reason, you will wish to help us in our task, and support the Project by making a donation.
If you have already donated, thank you so much.
And do remember, if you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim Gift Aid on your donation, which means we can reclaim 25p from HMRC for every £1 you donate…at no cost to yourself.
To allow us to do this, you simply need to fill in a Gift Aid declaration when you donate, and we do the rest.

Leave a legacy
A gift in your Will is a wonderful way to support the work of The Bar Convent. All legacies, however large or small, make a vital contribution, and will achieve the Living Heritage Project, for the inspiration and enjoyment of future generations.
All legacies to The Bar Convent Trust (unless otherwise requested) are paid into the Living Heritage Project fund. On completion of the Living Heritage Project, legacies will be invested to create an endowment fund, which will help secure the Bar Convent's long-term conservation and public access.
If you have already included a legacy to The Bar Convent in your Will, please accept our heartfelt thanks, it is a wonderful gift to our work.
We know that your decision to include us in your Will is a very private one, but if you would like to discuss your intentions and wishes with us, we should be delighted to do so. Any information you provide is not legally binding and will be kept in our strictest confidence.
